WHAT WE DO
Tell Me In Letters is a creative storytelling company, and as the name suggests we do things the ‘old school’ way, by sending you or your loved ones a series of letters in the post.
Each ‘letter series’ focuses on a single short story, which is ‘told’ in a not so conventional way. This could include personal letters, documents, transcripts, maps, photographs, phone text conversations, drawings, poems and many more depending on the letter series you have selected.
We aim to offer our readers something different, a unique experience, one where our readers can truly feel like they are a part of the story!
THE AUTHOR
I started Tell Me In Letters to share my passion for storytelling, but as someone who struggles with dyslexia, which can make it challenging for me to read books, I was determined to write my stories in a way that can be enjoyed more easily by everyone.
I chose to write short stories through a mixture of ‘sources’ to keep my readers engaged, whilst providing them with a unique experience.
Challenging the conventional style of writing enabled me to find new techniques to set the tone and allow the reader to be fully immersed in the story.
THE THEME
I chose to build my stories around the theme of interpersonal relationships, through my characters and the difficult situations they are placed in, I explore the complexity of human relationships. By observing these relationships and experiencing them, I hope that my readers can learn something about themselves and others, because despite my characters being fictional in many aspects they are universally relatable.
